| How
is Meals on Wheels funded? The meals are paid for entirely through private charitable contributions. Recipients of the service or their families donate what they can afford toward the cost of the meals, which is about $3.00 per meal. Meals on Wheels raises funds to subsidize what is not covered by recipient contributions through gifts from churches, community groups, businesses, foundations, and concerned individuals. Meals on Wheels of Metro Tulsa relies solely upon private contributions. We do not receive funding from the government or from the United Way. How
can you make a donation?
In each case, when we receive your donation, we will send you an acknowledgement in the mail for tax purposes, and even send a tribute card if the gift is made in honor or in memory of someone. Click the link below to make an on-line donation. Thank you for your support!

* * * * * Endowment Trust Fund Great For Planned Gifts
Meals on Wheels of Metro Tulsa has an Endowment Trust Fund, which is a great way for donors to make lasting and perpetual impact upon the organization. Memorial gifts, legacy gifts, and planned gifts to the fund can be ideal ways for donors to make a continuing difference. Donations are conservatively invested using a professional investment strategy. The Trust Fund makes an annual distribution from the earned income while the principal stays in tack. The annual distribution is used to meet program needs, while the principal of the fund grows and enables a steady and dependable source of funding. This allows your gifts to continue beyond your lifetime. With a financial or estate legacy gift to the Endowment through your will, trust, or other planned gift, you can perpetuate the values and ideals that are important to you, and also help to ensure the financial future of Meals on Wheels. Planned gifts can help you integrate your family, financial, and charitable goals. They can be made with cash, donated assets such as stocks, real estate, art pieces, business interests, or other kinds of property. Planned gifts can provide valuable tax benefits and/or lifetime income for you and your spouse or other loved ones. Wills, charitable trusts, and charitable gift annuities are some of the most popular planned gift instruments. Perhaps you have already included Meals on Wheels in your will, trust or other planned gift. If you have, please let us know so we can sign you up as a Charter Member of our new Legacy Society. Members will have the satisfaction of knowing they are endowing the mission of Meals on Wheels and ensuring the future strength of this fine organization. Members will be recognized and honored annually at a special event. You can, of course, remain anonymous if you wish. Want to learn more about making a planned gift? We can tell you how to find some help with developing a legacy plan. Please contact Dan Rabovsky at 627-4103, or email us at mowtulsa@atlasok.com. All inquiries will be held confidential.
