Our Regular Services Include:
  • Home-delivery of up to six nutritious meals per week; delivered 10 am - 12:30 pm weekdays, depending upon area (see below)
  • Diabetic, Low Sodium and Vegetarian meal options are available for those who desire them
  • Frozen meals for non-delivery days are available in most areas, and "blizzard bags" are delivered for snow-day emergencies
  • Volunteers also bring daily caring contact, friendship, and security.
  • Delivery of pet food is also available for those who qualify (see below)

Service Area

Presently service is provided through 14 geographically based units, also known as "components". The service area includes metropolitan Tulsa, Broken Arrow, Owasso, Jenks, and Glenpool. The units are indicated above by number, and their days of service are:

 Meals 4 PawStarz Pet Food Program

 

Meals on Wheels offers an exciting project called “Meals 4 Paw Starz.”   The name is a combination of “Meals on Wheels” and “4H Paw Starz” because it is a cooperative effort with the Tulsa County 4H Paw Starz Club. This program provides pet food for eligible Meals on Wheels participants each month. The project solicits donations of pet food and volunteers from the community to help with the delivery, and seeks to provide food for these pets as donations make it possible

 

How the program works: Qualified Meals on Wheels recipients fill out an application to receive the pet food. The deliveries are made on the third (3rd) Saturday of each month by volunteers; the intention is to provide enough food for the pets to last until the next delivery date.

 

                            Qualifications and Guidelines:

  • Must be a Meals on Wheels recipient to participate in Meals 4 Paw Stars

  • To qualify, the pet must be owned by the recipient and live with them

  •  Food will be provided for a maximum of two pets

  • We cannot always accommodate specific requests. Meals 4 Paw Starz is a non-profit organization and runs on donations provided on a monthly basis.  Our aim is to provide nutritional support for pets to the extent it is possible; We cannot insure the provision of a specific brand or type of pet food.

  • Pet food is delivered by Meals 4 Paw Starz volunteers on a monthly basis; delivery will be between 10:30 am -12:30 pm on the third Saturday of each month; recipients are expected to be at home to receive the deliveries

  • Daily serving portions of food are determined by the size of the pet and are packaged to last until the next delivery date

  • No pet services (spaying, neutering, bathing, grooming, healthcare) are provided directly by this program other than the delivery of pet food; We will however, make referrals for other donated services or products as they are made available to us for our recipients

  • Kitty litter, dog and cat treats, and other pet supplies will be provided as donations are made
