"I just want everyone to know how valuable Meals on Wheels is. It’s the only support I get.
It’s all I have.”
Now, more than ever, we must come together as a community to respond to the urgent needs of vulnerable seniors. Many of our homebound neighbors live alone and have no access to food beyond what our volunteers deliver. Meals on Wheels of Metro Tulsa is on the front lines, focused on doing all we can to ensure our seniors and those in need in our community stay safe and nourished.
The need for Meals on Wheels go beyond the seniors we serve. Many families in our community have found themselves struggling to put food on their tables. Meals on Wheels has teamed up local churches and organizations, like The Dream Center, to provide food to local families by hosting meal distribution sites in Tulsa and surrounding communities.
During the pandemic, Meals on Wheels of Metro Tulsa have delivered more than 300,000 meals, distributed more than 17 tons of bulk food, and provided nearly 30,000 snacks and meals to local youth.
To ensure the safety of our seniors, Meals on Wheels of Metro Tulsa is providing no-contact deliveries. If you or someone you need is in need of our services, please visit our GET MEALS page. Though our volunteer base has had to remain small for safety, we still have volunteer opportunities available, such as conducting wellness check calls on our seniors.
