Meals on Wheels of Metro Tulsa Welcomes Two New Members

We are please to welcome to new members to our team. Tara Harris will be taking over the role of Director of Volunteer Services as Ginger Tribbett departs for new adventures with her family. We would like to thank Ginger for here years of dedication and service to our neighbors in need across the Tulsa area.

Tara Harris joins Meals on Wheels with more than 10 years of resource development and volunteer management experience. Most recently, Tara served as the Volunteer Services Supervisor for Tulsa City-County Library. Prior to that she worked as the Development Manager for City Year Tulsa and as the Development Manager at the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma, where she managed food drives, fund drives, and community wide events like Tulsa Restaurant Week. Tara's background includes experience in volunteer management, event coordination, grant writing and fundraising. She is active in TulsaALIVE, a local organization for volunteer managers. She attended the University of North Texas and served in the 95th Infantry Division Army Reserve Band.  Born and raised in Ardmore, Oklahoma, Tara relocated to Tulsa in 2006. Tara and her husband Daniel have two sons attending Tulsa Public Schools and are active volunteers with Mayo Pack 137 Cub Scouts. In her spare time, Tara enjoys outdoor activities, baseball, and creative projects. 

We would also like to introduce you to Jazlin Asencio. Jazlin joins the Meals on Wheels team as the Donor Relations Specialist. She moved to Tulsa, OK from Augusta, Georgia in 2011 to attend Oral Roberts University. There she earned her Bachelors of Science in Public Relations (2015) and Masters in Business Administration (2018). While attending ORU, she worked within the Development and Alumni Relations department and gained extensive experience and knowledge about development and donor relations during ORU’s historic 50th Anniversary Capital Campaign. As the Donor Relations Coordinator, she assisted the department with their communication needs to successfully connect with all constituents. Her background also includes several years of experience in marketing, graphic design and project management.
