Becoming a Volunteer

There are 3 steps to becoming a volunteer for Meals on Wheels of Metro Tulsa.

  1. Volunteer Application

  2. Volunteer Insurance Waiver

  3. Background Check

Volunteer Opportunities

We have a variety of volunteer opportunities to choose from.

  • Driver‎: Deliver meals to homebound individuals on a pre-arranged route

  • Temporary/Seasonal Volunteer‎: Sign up to be a holiday driver, fulfill hours for scholarships, or help out with seasonal events

  • Substitute Driver‎: Offer to fill in when a regularly scheduled driver is out

  • Site Coordinator‎: Work together with volunteers and staff to coordinate meal delivery

  • Packer: Help create a smooth delivery process by counting and packing pre-plated meals for delivery

  • Office/Intake Volunteer‎: Help with a variety of office duties

  • Paws Driver: Deliver pet food once a month

  • Event Help: Help organize, set up, or volunteer during a special event

  • Snow Day Driver‎: Brave the snow to deliver meals to at-risk clients during extended closures

  • Home Safety Volunteer: Help with minor home repairs and improvements

  • We welcome corporate and community organizations to schedule large-group days of service. Click here for more information.
