Meals on Wheels of Metro Tulsa completed 24 ramp constructions in 2022

Meals on Wheels of Metro Tulsa completed 24 ramp constructions in 2022 through the Home Safety Program. The Home Safety Program was designed to help homebound individuals continue living safely and independently in their homes for as long as possible. This program goes hand in hand with our "More Than A Meal" concept and supports our seniors by offering grab bar installations, ADA-compliant ramp constructions, light bulb replacements, smoke detectors, and much more. Something as simple as a grab bar in a bathroom or a functioning smoke detector can greatly reduce the risk of injury to our elderly or disabled clients, helping them maintain the ability to care for themselves longer and more safely than before.
